On April 18th, 2019, the third extraordinary working meeting of the Consultative Council, consisting of representatives of civil society and community-based organizations, was held at the office of For Strong Future NGO.
"New Generation" Humanitarian NGO Project coordinator Hmayak Avetisyan, "Colorful House" Social-Cultural and Human Rights Defender NGO President Garik Amolikyan, Pink Human Rights Defender NGO Director Mamikon Hovsepyan, "For Strong Future" Youth NGO President Maxim Trubkin and "Center for Legal Initiatives" NGO President Nare Hovhannisyan took part in the meeting.
In the course of the meeting, the proposal package, based on the MSMIT (description of the minimum services provided to MSM in the field of HIV and AIDS Prevention) and TRANSIT (description of minimal services provided to trans people in the field of HIV and AIDS Prevention) packages, as well as on focus group discussions among relevant groups, was discussed and clarified. It should be submitted to the RA Ministry of Health to improve the services provided to MSM and trans communities.
The meeting took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere of numerous proposals for intense debate and effective work of the council, with the intention to meet next month's meeting to discuss future plans.
